About the Friends of Hartwick Pines State Park

Friends of Hartwick Pines State Park is one of the first Friends groups supporting the Michigan State Park system. We are a Michigan Domestic Nonprofit Corporation with IRS 501(c)(3) status and operate as a Membership organization.

The organization is managed by a 7-person Board of Directors appointed by the Members per our bylaws. Members are also encouraged to serve on committees.

As an inclusive organization, we welcome everyone who has an interest in our Mission. We embrace individual differences, which strengthen our organization. And, we respect one another always.
