Opened in 1994, the Visitor Center houses nature exhibits, an in-depth look at Michigan forest management and impacts, the Friends' Bookstore, and offices for the Park Interpreter and Historian. Birders from around the world enjoy spotting unique species, like the Evening Grosbeak.
